Hike Kalmthoutse Heide – loop (31km)
sam. 3 août à 08:30
The Kalmthoutse Heide is a nature reserve in the Belgian province of Antwerp, near the village of Kalmthout and the Dutch border. The area consists mainly of heathland with fens, sand drifts and pine forest. The nature reserve is part of a contiguous nature area that extends on both sides of the Belgian-Dutch border and covers an area of approximately 3750 hectares the "Kalmthoutse Heide Grenspark". During our hike we will walk mostly through the heather and some forests, and pass by a lot of small ponds. We will walk at an average speed of 5km/h both on paved and unpaved roads. I’ve never walked this road before, so it’s possible that there are some mistakes in the planning. Be prepared for this. Once arrived back in Heide after 31 km, we will, as it has become an important habit, have a nice beer in a local pub (if there is one) ●●You can find the gpx track here:
