Namaste, Welcome to all vegan North Indian cuisine cooking and lunch session in collaboration with nuh-rish (www.nuh-rish.com). The menu is designed keeping in mind the nutritious, healthy, vegan ingredients making flavourful delicacies. The ingredients used are easily available in Tokyo and we will take you along telling the culinary uses and health benefits. After cooking together enjoy eating full meal while sharing the Indian eating customs and how the flavors work with each other.
Pick the chance to make friends with other members sharing similar interests. Menu: Menu (North Indian cuisine) 1. Palak tofu (Spinach and tofu curry) - this delicacy is a power food. It is a flavourful mix of smooth spinach sauce infused with aromatic Indian spices and flavoured with onion tomato. Traditionally it is topped with cottage cheese cubes but the tofu replacement makes it equally tempting and healthy. 2. Chapati (whole wheat roasted flat bread) - Staple bread of every Indian house. This dry roasted healthy bread made in pan goes well with any curries is called chapati/roti. 3. Masala papad (spiced lentil waffer) – Papads are crisp thin wafers made up of dried legumes, salted & spiced. It is roasted and then topped with tangy flavoued chopped fresh salad vegetables of choice. 4. Shikanji (home made lemonade) - a very refreshing lemon based sweet and sour drink is perfect to beat the heat in summers. It is further flavoured mildly with Indian spice and herb. Session format: 1. Printed recipes in English will be provided to each attendee
Classes will be held in simple English in homely environment.
