Free Tuesday Afternoon Origami Classes - 34th Street Partnership
Chaque semaine les mardi jusqu'au 24 septembre 2019
The 34th Street Partnership's free weekly outdoor origami classes are returning for the summer, taught by origami author, Gay Merrill Gross. All are welcome and supplies are provided. This year we are at a different location—Park West—on the other side of One Penn Plaza—between 33rd and 34th Streets near Eighth Avenue. Park West is six steps up from street level. Here are directions— If you are coming from 8th Avenue and 34th Street: Go to the southeast corner of 34th Street and 8th Avenue -- you will see a Duane Reade on the corner. Walking east on 34th Street, after Duane Reade is Lucy's Cantina. Right after the Cantina you will see a ramp and then six steps to go up to Park West—if you reach the parking garage sign, you have gone too far. Go up either the ramp or the steps and to the left of the artificial grass you will see tables and chairs under scaffolding—look for us there! If you are coming from 7th Avenue and 34th Street: Walk on the south side of 34th Street, heading toward 8th Avenue. As you reach the end of the very large office building (One Penn Plaza)—before you reach 8th Avenue—you will see a large sign for a parking garage. Just past the sign are the steps and the ramp to go up to the plaza. Go up either the ramp or the steps and to the left of the artificial grass you will see tables and chairs under scaffolding—look for us there! In the event of rain, the class will be held at a nearby indoor location: The Pennsy -- a food court on the southwest corner of 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue—elevated by some steps from street level. Look for us near the escalator and elevator inside the food court. Contact Rachel Zurier with any questions at [masked]
