World Wide Knit in Public Day

World Wide Knit in Public Day has been happening since 2005. They tout it as 'the largest knitter run event in the world". For more information about the whole big event, you can check out their website http://www.wwkipday.com/ In NYC, the main event, sponsored by Knitty City, takes place in Bryant Park. It is a fun afternoon. A chance to knit, crochet, cross stitch, craft out in (hopefully, usually) wonderful weather and share your craft with approximately 200 other local enthusiasts, from Pints'n'Purls and various other groups, as well as individuals. https://www.wwkipday.com/bryant-park-wwkip/
You can bring a snack for yourself, or to share. There are food kiosks in Bryant Park as well. Imbibe your choice of beverage, so long as you are discreet.... Bryant Park is located behind the Main Library, at 5th avenue, between 40-42 streets. The event takes place on the 'terrace', just behind the library....that's at the 5th ave end of the park. Look for the Gertrude Stein statue draped in a hand knit scarf. On the South end of the park, towards 40th street. I will post our specific location, within the WWKIP group. We usually have a set of tables close to 40th street. If you have trouble finding the event, or us, text Judy at[masked].
