https://www.eventbrite.com/e/startups-mental-health-no-more-taboos-tickets-58703227935 Entrepreneurs are 50% more likely to report having a mental health condition. They’re 2x more likely to suffer from depression, 10x more likely to suffer from bipolar disorder, and 2x more likely to have suicidal thoughts 😰 This is a hidden reality that few people will talk about. Entrepreneurship is trendy, it’s cool, founding a startup is something people dream of. But they don’t see how hard it is, how entrepreneurs feel alone, all the sweat & tears that are behind the stories we hear in the media. That’s why we decided to do an event about this issue. Discussing it on stage will release some energies & convey a message to founders: You are not alone. People can help you, people who have lived through the same situations, and it’s ok to talk about it. OUR OUTSTANDING SPEAKERS 🌈 Hampus Jakobsson’s ( https://twitter.com/hajak ) career is hard to sum up when you see how huge it has been. This ex-founder has sat on the board of many, many Nordic startups, and knows a lot about the entrepreneur’s lonely journey, having helped dozens get through these issues. He is now Venture Partner at BlueYard. Charles Thomas ( https://twitter.com/charles_comet ) is the founder and CEO of Comet, a platform connecting the most talented tech & data freelancers with companies. He will give us his perspective as a current founder. Mathias Pastor ( https://twitter.com/pastormhm ) is Director at The Family & will be moderating the panel. He spends literally all of his time with founders and wrote a striking article ( https://medium.com/@mathiaspastor/that-fucking-little-black-ball-c98c7d642898 ) about mental health. This panel will be followed by a Q&A and there will be some time for snacks & drinks 🥨🥤
See you there! Love 💙
