... And more! About the panelists - Nicholas Fortugno, Co-Founder & CCO of Playmatics- Nick Fortugno is a interactive narrative designer and game designer based in New York City. Nick is a Lead Artist on the Frankstein A.I. project (featured at the Sundance New Frontier Festival in 2018), and has worked extensively on interactive narrative projects in a variety of formats. He is founder and principal of Playmatics (, a interactive development company. Playmatics has created a variety of digital and real-world experiences for organizations including Pro Publica, Red Bull, AMC (such as the CableFAX award winning Breaking Bad: The Interrogation), Disney, American Museum of Natural History, the Corporation of Public Broadcasting, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Red Cross/Red Crescent. - Mitu Khandaker, Assistant Professor at NYU Game Center- Mitu Khandaker is a game designer, scholar, and entrepreneur. She holds a PhD on the aesthetics of interactivity in videogames, completed at the University of Portsmouth in 2015. Prior to that, she was a 2008 Kauffman Global Scholar and received a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Portsmouth. A rising star in the games industry, she won the Breakthrough Brit BAFTA in 2013 and the Creative English Trailblazer Award in 2014. In 2011 Mitu founded The Tiniest Shark Ltd. – an indie micro-studio for which she provides creative, technical, and operational leadership. - Vassiliki Khonsari, Co-Founder of iNK Stories- Vassiliki Khonsari is the Co-Founder of iNK Stories in New York City––a studio ushering in a new wave of immersive entertainment across screens; Location Based to Mobile VR/XR/AR, Games, Interactive Series, Episodic and Films. Vassiliki began her artistic career as a Visual Anthropologist (MA) and documentary film-maker. Her work has broadcasted in 20+ countries, winning numerous film festivals worldwide. Khonsari has received support from The Doris Duke Foundation, IFP + MADE IN NY Innovation Grant, a consultant and fellow of the Sundance Institute at the New Frontier Story Lab, PGAs Women's Impact Network. - Andrew Ow, Founder of Haiku Games- Andrew Ow is the founder of Haiku Games, a startup game company behind the Adventure Escape franchise that has been enjoyed by tens of millions of players. Prior to founding Haiku, I received an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and was a lead product manager at Playfish (acquired by Electronic Arts) - Dan Butchko (Moderator), Founder of Playcrafting- Dan Butchko oversees all operations for Playcrafting in the United States and carries out planning and execution of all education and events in New York. Playcrafting is the largest network of game developers in New York, having grown from a small Meetup group in 2009 to over 30,000 members across the US.
