sam. 23 février à 16:30
-posted by Jennifer G. for Katherine- Katherine, the event organizer, writes: Join Long Island Animal Save for our 2nd vigil, at Westbury Live Poultry Market to bear witness to the animals awaiting slaughter inside the market. On the inside of the market, animals are trapped inside of the cages, afraid and helpless. We will offer compassion in their final moments, and stand united against the injustice that the animals are forced to endure. We had a great first vigil, and we hope that more people will join us. We will not stop until all animals have the consideration that they deserve! Join us to bear witness peacefully and offer love-based community outreach. We will meet at : The Harvest Diner
841 Old Country Road
Westbury, NY 11590
(DO NOT PARK IN LOT) The vigil will be held at : Westbury Live Poultry
40 Urban Ave
Westbury, NY 11590 We will meet at the diner, and walk over to the vigil location together. Please do not park in the diner's parking lot, or the live market's lot, or you may get towed. There is plenty of adjacent street parking. *** For more information about the Save Movement and the significance of bearing witness, visit http://thesavemovement.org/ From the website: "Our goals are to raise awareness about the plight of farmed animals, to help people become vegan, and to build a mass-based, grassroots animal justice movement.
