http://bit.ly/SyrianFeast Event Description:

While New York City is often heralded for having the most diverse food scene in the world, it's the cooks hailing from around the world that deserve all the credit for enhancing the New York culinary experience. Two amazing cooks from Aleppo, Syria are ready to showcase the rich and sophisticated cuisine of the Middle East, and offer the opportunity to get to know the food and people of their country through an authentic, generous, and delicious meal. For this event we partner up with the New York Adventure Club as we host a pop-up Syrian feast with Tanabel, a food & events company that employs refugee women with exceptional talent in the kitchen. Cooked with mother-and-daughter team Fadila and Fayza, our private supper inside a warm and cozy Manhattan space will include: A home-cooked Syrian dinner served buffet style featuring nearly a dozen authentic dishes, ranging from fatayer sabanekh (spinach & cheese pies) to fattet batinjan (a layered dish of fried eggplant and pita dressed with a tahini yogurt, fresh herbs, and pomegranate)

An intro to the menu items and chefs by Tanabel Founder Hannah Goldberg Other Features:

>>>Complimentary wine throughout the evening

>>>A communal seating arrangement to help you create new social circles with fellow food-loving adventurers

>>>Our Middle Eastern cuisine will also feature live music from Dijwar Karaman, an award-winning Kurdish musician who regularly plays the hammered dulcimer in public areas around NYC, including Central Park's Bethesda Terrace! Hope to see you there! Dinner Menu

We work with a team of talented refugee women from across the Middle East, celebrating and preserving their traditional recipes. Our authentic, generous, and delicious meals allow these women to share a taste of home with their new community and provide them with meaningful and empowering employment. We host pop-up dinners, cater events and teach classes! Click Link below for full info and to get tickets:
