Feminists! Come out and discuss Eloquent Rage at Commons Cafe in BK! Inspired by black history month, we'll gather to talk black feminist theory, feminism and inclusion, feminism and class, building movements, our own personal feminist manifestos and perhaps be inspired enough to build a feminist manifesto for our book club! Eloquent Rage by Brittney C. Cooper https://amzn.to/2SKAUIU is part essay, part memoir, part black feminist theory. It talks current black feminist theory and experience, sisterhood, and social change. According to Good Reads it is funny and insightful and necessary reading.

Statement-- https://bit.ly/1k7H9ef . This super quick 8-page doc is one of THE manifestos of black feminist thought. It will provide a helpful framework for black feminist theory and it centers black lesbian feminist thought, which might be a helpful additional lens.
