Bring your laptops!!! This meetup targets those with little or no programming experience. It is the first meetup for New York Python Data Science. This class will be held from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in room 206. Before attending you will need to download the book Exercise Python for free from https://www.dunderdata.com/books . You will need to install the Anaconda distribution with Python 3 before coming. Instructions for doing so are found in the README.pdf file in the above download. We will then cover the following chapters from the book:

• Intro to Jupyter Notebooks

• Strings

• Objects

• Lists

• Control Flow

• Functions

• Tuples, sets, and dictionaries Ted Petrou is teaching this class. He is author of Exercise Python, Pandas Cookbook, and Master Data Analysis with Pandas (upcoming Spring 2019).
