Mindfulness Drawing Class

This meet-up is focused on exploring drawing as a mindfulness practice. Each week I will lead us in a short guided meditation to get settled in, then teach you a strategy to help you enjoy drawing. In a casual setting, we'll play with easing into and enjoying the experience of drawing. You'll leave the class with new way of cultivating awareness and delighting in the wonder of the world. (We won’t worry about making “nice looking” or realistic finished pieces.) This is a small class (no more than 8 people) so there will be plenty of time for me to give you one-on-one attention and answer your questions. No experience with drawing or mindfulness is needed! Please bring a sketchbook (white paper, ~8.5 x 11") and a pencil, sharpener, and eraser. We are on the 4th Floor of 250 Greenpoint Avenue. Studio 14 (of artist Clara McClenon) Please note it is a walk-up. Unfortunately no elevator is available.
