Soften.Expand.Embrace: A Yoga and Writing Workshop
sam. 16 mars à 19:00
BUY TICKETS HERE: http://softenexpandembrace.eventbrite.com EVENT DETAILS: Usually seen as totally separate activities, yoga and writing intentionally come together in this two-part workshop to soften the body and open heart. Through both activities, you will get the opportunity to explore how you’re really doing and practice holding space for yourself exactly as you are. This workshop begins with a 1-hour slow flow yoga class led by the wonderful Molly Vallillo. After gaining her yoga teacher certification in Bali, Indonesia, Molly returned to New York City, where she has become a beloved instructor at places like Yogaholic ( http://yogaholic.net/index.html ) and Peaceful Warrior Yoga Center ( https://www.peacefulwarrioryogacenter.com/ ). This workshop will start by joining her on your yoga mat for a mindful, beginner-friendly class focused on releasing physical tension and loosening your mental grip. After a brief intermission with light snacks and refreshments, Ivy Miller ( https://www.storiesrewritten.org/meet-the-instructor/ ) will lead a 90-minute guided writing session centered around inner compassion and acceptance of self. There will be warm-up writing exercises, optional writing prompts, and time at the end to share in small groups.
