How to Modernize New York's Energy Grid
mer. 23 janvier à 23:30
December 27th’s eerie blue glow in Queens was caused by an electrical fault at one of Con Edison’s substations. The blue glow was a visible demonstration that the infrastructure of our electricity system is crumbling and needs an overhaul. Brooklyn Microgrid is leading the push for innovation and a more efficient electricity system. Read more about the need to modernize New York City’s energy infrastructure. At our Meetup on January 23rd, we’ll discuss how we can take action and make our voices heard about the urgent need to update NYC’s electricity system. Our guest speaker will be Sam Malin. Sam is a renewable energy engineer and consultant. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Columbia University with a focus on the intersection of technology, business, and policy. Before Columbia, Sam held various roles serving as lead project engineer or developer on over $1 billion of commercial- and utility-scale solar and wind projects across the United States. Sam holds an MS in mechanical engineering and a BS in civil engineering from Northwestern University. RSVP to make your voice count!
