Free Photo Society Mtg: "Michael AW Behind the Image"

The Sea Gypsies' NY Underwater Photographic Society (NYUPS) will be hosting a world-famous underwater photographer for January's meeting! All those with an interest in the underwater world and/or photography are welcome to attend this free event. Since world-famous underwater photographer Michael AW will be in NYC, we will postpone “Different Images, Same Subject” to our February meeting. Michael will be discussing his images with the presentation: "Behind the Image: The Art, the Adventures & the Techniques" We will be in the larger upstairs front room at House of Brews. His accolades include winning more than 65 international photographic awards and being named as one of the world’s most influential nature photographers by Outdoor Photography. In 2013 he was the first Asian to be awarded a NOGI by the American Academy of Underwater Arts and Science. Michael’s book: "Essential Digital Underwater Photography Masterclass available at B&H Photo” should be studied by every serious underwater photographer. Michael also has a few spots left on his expedition to Cuba. Michael will be leading the trip with NYUPS member, Ron Watkins.
