We meet congregationally Sundays at 11:00. Today’s speaker is Prof. Alexander Hinton who will be speaking on, " 'What makes a man start fires?' From the Cambodian Genocide to Charlottesville” Prof. Hinton will talk about what makes people make do things that result in calamitous disruptions in society. Alexander Hinton serves as the Director of the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights and Professor in the Anthropology and Global Affairs Departments at Rutgers University, Newark. In[masked], he served as the President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars, and currently he serves as the UNESCO Chair in Genocide Prevention. In 2009, Hinton was awarded the Robert B. Textor and Family Prize for Excellence in Anticipatory Anthropology.
