On Thursday, January 31st, at 7pm, we're excited to invite Sentience Institute, an organization with the mission to build on the body of evidence for how to most effectively expand humanity’s moral circle, and to encourage advocates to make use of that evidence. Sentience Institute is currently focusing on effective strategies to expand the circle to farmed animals. At the event, Kelly Witwicki (Co-Founder & Executive Director) will discuss their research paper “Social Movement Lessons From the British Antislavery Movement: Focused on Applications to the Movement Against Animal Farming” and other Sentience Institute’s recent work. Newcomers welcome! Here is the link to the paper: https://www.sentienceinstitute.org/british-antislavery This event is hosted in the offices of Enigma Technologies, 245 5th Ave (at 28th St) on the 17th floor.
