PLEASE REGISTER HERE: RSVP ON MEETUP DOES NOT SECURE ADMISSION. Through shared dialogue and small group discussion with poets, educators, artists, architects and activists, this participatory program will explore how identity and cultural forces can influence the process of how we design, both collectively and individually. This event will expose the implicit and explicit relationship between identity and the discipline of making. Using perspectives and experiences from across multiple creative fields, this workshop will explore the power of interdisciplinary exchange. This event is inspired by the Close to the Edge: The Birth of Hip Hop Architecture exhibition, currently on display at the Center for Architecture. This show highlights expression that is rooted in identity and shapes both ideas and places. Speakers:
