• What we'll do
In December we'll discuss "Children of Blood and Bone" by Tomi Adeyemi. Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zélie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls. But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope. Now Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. The meeting will be hosted by Wendy at her house in White Plains. We will provide stuffed burgers. Please bring fruit salad, vegetables, potato salad, macaroni salad, appetizers, snacks, drinks and/or desserts. Let everyone know what you will be bringing by commenting on this meeting. Please let me know what type of drink you would like in advance so we can have it on hand. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, 12/08/2018 at 11:30a. If you would like to see the list of future books to be read, please check the message boards section. This can only be accessed via the computer, I haven't yet figured out how to get to it from the Meetup app. There is a list of future Mystery and future Sci Fi books. As always, message me or post in the comments what your suggestions for books are.
