Ever wonder if you'd make a good spy? Let's play some easier games of bluffing and lying. (Like we do every board game meetup!) Lie through "The Resistance" and "Spyfall" or bluff through "Coup" and "Love Letter." All pretty easy games--Five minute rules explanation or less--and you're up and running! It's a surprisingly good way to have fun with new people. (Also, have you ever seen the Jean Dujardin OSS-117 movies? So funny. And I will keep putting up pictures from that series until someone asks me about them.) In short, think of these as the mischievous, smirking younger cousin of your parents' traditional, wholesome party games. Do you like more complex board games? Be sure to check out my earlier meetup from 12-3. All you'll need is a fun, competitive spirit and a $3 donation for the Impact Network (learn more here ( http://www.impactnetwork.org/ )). And learn about our efforts in a recent Donor Spotlight: ( https://mailchi.mp/2662bc7a842a/impact-network-donor-spotlight-william-quinn?e=eeefb2d930 ) Regulars and myself will happily and patiently explain these games to anyone who joins. If games are underway when you arrive, get a drink, grab a chair and sidle up to a group in progress. A new game will no doubt be starting soon. “But” you say “you guys play games I've never heard of. They must be long and complex.” Not at all! We got all the long complex games out of our system earlier, now we're ready for quick, light games. They are super easy to understand and a TON of fun to play. Sure, they're new and you might not of heard of them but don't let that deter you from a good time. In particular, we'll be playing games that encourage socializing and everyone’s favorite, lying! What will we play? Here's an overview of our Meetup's favorite game: The Resistance! (If you don't follow, don't worry--I love explaining this game anyway.) https://vimeo.com/165912969 Gaming Guidelines

Now, I do want to mention one thing that is important. My games are my babies. So, like any good parent, I'm highly protective of them--especially my favorites (don't tell them I have favorites). Please treat the games well. Don't bend the cards and be mindful of drinks and food. Also, we've created a culture of gracious winners and losers so remember the games are all in good fun. Lastly, rules are harder to explain then you might think so be patient with the anyone trying.
