Urban Hike & Brew - Prehistoric Caves of Inwood
sam. 16 mars à 19:00
Let's get some fresh air with an urban hike. For this one we will explore the prehistoric caves of Inwood. It is one of the few places in New York City to spot nature's prehistoric roots. And according the NYC park's website it is one of the best places to spot a bald eagle within the city. I'm not sure about that, but you never know. One thing I can promise. We will get some great views of the Hudson. For our adventure you should be prepared to walk a couple of miles. If you'd like to read more about the caves: http://myinwood.net/the-indian-caves-of-inwood-hill-park/ If the weather is warm enough we will head over to nearby Fort Tryon park as well. Some things to note: Bring water, Snacks
Wear Proper footwear - if you don't have hiking shoes or make sure your sneakers have really good treads (If we have any melting snow/recent rain you may want to bring an extra pair of socks)
Dress in Layers: warm coat, hat and gloves Please allow time for changes in weekend train service Plan your day accordingly. This is a meetup to enjoy being outside. If you are in a hurry and want to leave early you will be responsible for finding your way out of the park.
