Hey guys. Dodgeball is back September 8th[masked] Jack Purcell as always. For the new members nice to meet you I am jp. Dont be scared of low numbers on meetup as we have regulars and players don't always rsvp. We always have enough trust me :-) I've been running dodgeball for the passed two years. So far it's been a success. It's a great way to have fun while getting in shape as we move a lot. Dodgeball is a team sport. It's really important to play as a team as much as possible. The goal of the game is the team that eliminates all the players from the other team wins. Each team has three plush balls to start with (they don't hurt at all) You can use a ball to block a ball as long as you don't drop your ball after. Since it's beginners level (although we have mixed levels players that plays with us) we have face rule. If you throw the ball at someone's face while they are not looking.. They are not out pretty much. If you get hit in the face but you look at the thrower.. You are out. We also have line rules that I will explain for the new players. It's really easy trust me. Keep in mind it's a fast sport so it'll happen once in a while getting hit in the head but they don't hurt. We are a fun group. We are friendly. Keep in mind there is a cap of 30 players so first come first served. To pay just go to the desk and say you are there for dodgeball beginners. Keep your receipt and just show it to me in the gym when I ask for it. It's only 7$ Parking is free. Just ask for a parking pass at the desk. You can park in the Jack Purcell zone (front left) or the school on Gloucester st (no need for a pass if you park there) Normally if we have enough people interested we go to Sir John a pub for food. We get a 10% discount. It's a great way to get to know each other away from dodgeball. If you have any questions don't be shy and ask. See you all in September :-)
