This walk is 6 miles & moderate paced. Bring lunch (There will be limited places to buy lunch during walk), walking shoes, EXTRA LAYERS OF CLOTHING, sun protection. Description: Thomas Edison facility, built in 1887, was one of the most technologically advanced for its time. This facility allowed Edison to develop & mass produce many of his earlier inventions, including the phonograph, and to develop a movie camera, the nickel-iron alkaline electric storage battery & start the film industry. We'll be able to walk around lab bldgs & the grounds of the Thomas Edison's estate. There is also an option to watch interesting short films in the orientation center.
