I'm heading back out to Kingdom trails in Burke Vermont again Leaving Thursday at 9 if anyone wants to carpool should get in touch with me in advance leaving from my house in Greenwood Lake or I can meet you somewhere on route like at a train station or what have you then I will be coming back on Monday. I do this trip yearly The good news is there is a car bike shuttle; that will take you and your bike to the top hourly until 5 p.m. then you can blast down the kingdom trails picking a different Trail and line every time. If you do not have a bicycle there are three bicycle shops in town with great bikes to rent the rates are $90 a day or 75 for half a day. The kingdom Farm Lodge nightly rate for the farm Lodge starts off at $45 per person per night. Or the next town over $35 nighly for the whole house right at a lake for swimming The Burke hotel resort is $75 per person double occupancy has a full bar; restaurant, outdoor olympic size pool & hot tub for those aching muscles at the Days Inn. There also have a massage spa in town wahoo!!!. If you are unfamiliar with the type of terrain and trails; I suggest looking at a YouTube to see the terrain which is mainly consisting of banked swooping turns and Long winding tight packed singletrack going through farms, switchbacks with some woop de does, and rollers. The trails are all well Marked well maintained. There are lots of bridges, some miles long. The trails are meticulously manicure and maintained by the land owners who allow you to ride on their property, the trail pass is $15 a day and there are a hundred miles of trails if you take the shuttle up you should be able to get about four or five runs down each one will take you close to an hour you can't just blast straight down there's lots of switchbacks and singletrack and you still have to Pedal to get over some stuff but you're mainly going on a pretty much downhill grade the whole time you can stay at the bottom of the mountain and ride some of the flat stuff which is very nice next to streams and pastures you'll see the landowners waving at you and mowing the lawn. This place is big for biking people travel thousands of miles to come here it is a ski resort in the winter time bikers Paradise All Summer Long. The trail builders have devoted their time to building the trail on their land so you are riding through people's properties and Farms where they have prepared the trail specifically for mountain biking there's over a hundred miles of trails. If you plan on going we can coordinate a carpool or just text me when you arrive so we coordinate a ride and lodging accommodations text[masked] NOTE: You are responsible for bringing appropriate gear, supplies, clothing, first aid, and lights.
