Slow Flow Yoga w/ Crystal Bowl Meditation
The class format will offer a slow-moving asana practice for 35 minutes, followed by a 25-minute crystal bowl meditation. Crystal Bowl Meditation: Each cell in the body is genetically programmed to maintain its own health and well-being. During the course of our life, many emotional, mental and environmental factors interfere with this state. When the body is vibrating out of tune or non-harmoniously, it is called dis-ease. The human body is the sum of many vibrations emanating from the organs, muscles, and nerves. The sound and vibrations emanating from the bowls re-tune the listener’s body by opening, clearing and rebalancing the 7 chakras, 20 meridians, and 365 acupoints. . Heart and respiratory rates change, self-healing powers are activated and the immune system strengthened. When the body is vibrating in harmony with the whole, it is in a state of homeostasis, or sound health. A Slow Flow Yoga Class: A class that meets the needs of beginner to advanced practitioners. There will be a multitude of options to intensify or lighten the postures, catering to all levels. The poses are held for a longer period of time to help open the body, offering space to understand the posture with its purpose and relieve the nervous system from a fast-paced life. A very meditative practice, where we can meet all our habitual reactions & patterning, therefore transforming the ones that are no longer serving us.
There is a subconscious serene sense of peace when postures are placed together in a flowing form, building upon each other. It is a special experience.
