IMPROV FOR ACTORS - Express Yourself This Improv for Actors workshop will focus on expressing emotions. You will learn techniques that will help you work through emotional blocks and freely express emotions. Many actors are more comfortable expressing anger or apathy than they are expressing more vulnerable emotions such as sadness, fear or even love. Through exercises, theater games and scene work you will practice expressing a variety of emotions so you can expand your emotional range and have more choices as a performer. A fun safe and non-competitive environment is created in which each participant will learn how to work through inhibitions and tap into their imaginations. _____

_____ THE BENEFITS OF IMPROV Improv can help you reduce stage fright, perform with more ease, increase your emotional range, build rapport with your scene partners, and have more fun on stage. Many actors get “stuck in their heads” and as a result feel paralyzed and/or disconnected when performing. Improv skills give the actor tools that will get them out of their heads and into the scene.
