WOMANKIND

https://womankindart.squarespace.com/exhibit Rising above violence, together: For 36 years, Womankind, formerly the New York Asian Women's Center, has worked with survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence of all ages to rise above trauma and build a path to healing. We bring critical resources and deep cultural competency to help communities find refuge, recovery, and renewal. “Resilience is a deep journey buoyed

by an understanding that our scars

are sources of strength.” In September 2018, Womankind will launch its first art exhibit, amplifying Womankind’s message through the collective voices of artists who stand with our cause. This one week exhibit in New York City will focus on the spirit of resilience and feature a wide variety of artists and styles including painters, sculptors, live percussionists, street artists, sequential artists, and more. REGISTER FREE on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/resilience-womankind-art-exhibit-tickets-49569712344 ? Co-curated by Carmen Zita of the Heller Group & Zak Ross of Michael Rosenfeld Gallery.
