“Surviving as a Skeptic in a World of Fake News” with Steve Novella

Yale neurologist, popular podcaster of “The Skeptic’s Guide to the Universe”, author of numerous books and a new one releasing on October 2, Dr. Steven Novella will be the guest presenter at the October 8 general monthly meeting in Norwalk of Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County. His topic is “Surviving as a Skeptic in a World of Fake News: How to tell real from fake news, deal with that crazy coworker, and navigate family dinners in a polarized, ‘post-truth’ world.” Dr. Novella, host and producer of the SGU, is an internationally recognized science educator. He brings his academic credentials and long history as a dynamic speaker and educator to the event. Dr. Novella is an academic clinical neurologist at Yale University School of Medicine, where he is known for his dedication to excellence in teaching. When not podcasting, he also authors the popular and award-winning NeuroLogica blog, is senior editor of Science-Based Medicine, and makes regular appearances on radio, podcasts, and tv promoting science.
