sam. 29 septembre à 16:00
Saturday, September 29th, 10:00 – 11:30: Ecology Hike in the Wildflower and Forest Preserve. We will look at fall flowers, consider seed gathering and fall planting, late season butterflies and other pollinators, and discuss maintaining a wildflower meadow. This will be an easy hike, but wear appropriate shoes and clothing for a walk in the woods. Leader: Randi Wilfert Eckel, PhD. Randi is a noted entomologist, and has over 25 years of experience with native plants, including those at her own Toadshade Wildflower Farm in Frenchtown, New Jersey. She will be bringing native plant seeds from Toadshade to sell at the end of our hike. Meet at: Wildflower and Forest Preserve/Dog Park, 11 Bear Lane, Maplewood (off of Crest Drive)
