Join Mindful Astoria for a weekend of Meditation, Yoga, Hiking and Community Building at the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Harriman Outdoor Center located on a beautiful Breakneck Pond in the heart of Harriman State Park only an hour away from New York City. This retreat will: Help you slow down and connect deeper with the natural world in a peaceful and serene setting

Help deepen your meditation practice ATTENDANCE PREREQUISITE You must have attended at least 3 Wednesday Mindful Astoria Meditation prior to attending the Weekend Retreat. ACCOMMODATIONS Private 4-bedroom cabin with common area. Each bedroom has 1 set of bunk bed and 2 twin beds. Based on participant request, we can make one or two rooms gender specific. The Central Bathhouse is a few steps away with separate showers for men and women. MEALS 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, and 2 to-go trail lunch will be provided. If you have food allergies or any other dietary restrictions, we can accommodate your needs. GETTING THERE If you do not have a car or a ride, you can take NJ Transit from Penn Station to Tuxedo Station where AMC shuttle can pick you up for a small fee. FEES The $165 retreat fee will cover two nights accommodation, meals, all activities and a nominal administrative fee. Fees do not include transportation cost. REGISTRATION There are only 15 spaces available. When you RSVP on Meet Up, you will receive an email with payment information. Registration and payment deadline is Sunday, September 23rd. All payments are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to go due to an illness or an emergency, you are welcome to find a substitute. BASIC GUIDELINES This is a participatory retreat, we welcome participants (if they wish) to lead some of the activities. If you would like to offer meditation to the group, there will be a session of practice for leaders before the retreat. To make it a meaningful retreat: -We ask you to participate fully and be the inspiration for each other.
-No use of electronics/phones unless in case of an emergency.
-No use of alcohol throughout the retreat.
