WORKSHOP DETAILS: UPDATE: This workshop meetup has been rescheduled to TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 (from Thursday, Sept. 6. Please change your calendar, as necessary if you have already RSVPd for the 6th.) When: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 from 6:00-8:00 p.m
Where: Anna Bartos Studio: 484 W. 43rd St., 41E (corner of 10th Ave.)
Cost: $20 in cash (exact amount) at the door for members and guests, who are welcome! STSANY workshops give performers of any age and level of experience the opportunity of receiving excellent training in their craft including technique, interpretation and performance tips, as well as advice on appropriate repertoire. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and allows members and friends to meet, network and socialize with like-minded folks. Light refreshments are available. WHAT TO BRING: Singers: One or two contrasting songs you have worked on or performed of ANY GENRE, i.e., classical, pop, jazz, folk, rock, etc.. Please bring 2 copies of the complete songs (no chord charts, please.) NOTE: You may also bring selections from a cabaret or one-person show you would like to perform in the future. Actors: One or two contrasting monologues or recitations (poems are acceptable). Two copies, please. Instrumentalists: One piece you know or are working on. WHO WE ARE: SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT IN NEW YORK is a non-profit creative arts cooperative for singers, actors, instrumentalists, dancers, etc., of any age and level of experience who wish to improve their craft and perform.
