We've gone to a few of these before, seeing Peter Noone and Tommy James. They're free, and a lot of fun. While it's a large crowd it's never felt overwhelming or claustrophobic. It's under a covered area, rain or shine, no need to bring chairs unless you want to sit on the lawn. Everyone please send away for your own tickets. To obtain tickets, please send a note requesting the performance you wish to attend and the number of tickets you are requesting with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (#10) to:
Garden State Arts Foundation, Inc., Attention: (name of performance you wish to attend),
P.O. Box 5013, Woodbridge, NJ[masked]
Phone: (732)[masked] x7057 We can coordinate carpooling, tailgating, and meeting as we get closer to the date. When we're a week or two out, PLEASE SAY IN THE COMMENTS WHAT TIME YOU THINK YOU'LL ARRIVE IF YOU WANT TO MEET UP WITH OTHERS AND SIT TOGETHER. No one is "required' to sit with the group, but we should know who wants to so we can be on the lookout for each other. From previous shows (therefore I don't know if this has changed, as of now there's no info on the website) Parking lots open 1 hour prior to an event. They recommend arriving as early as possible to ensure a space. Gates open half an hour before the show. Items allowed to bring in: factory sealed plastic bottle of water (one per person), food in a clear plastic bag, umbrellas (note seating area is covered, lawn area is not), and low profile lawn chairs (no higher than 9 inches from the ground). (Lawn chairs are for lawn seating only otherwise you don't need them) Not allowed: professional cameras, audio or video recording devices, coolers, cans and bottles, etc. http://gsafoundation.njta.com/events.html click on "cultural events"
