Join New York Adventure Club ( http://www.nyadventureclub.com/ ) as we explore Brooklyn’s diverse and intriguing waterfront neighborhood of Greenpoint, which maintains a historic Polish presence even as gentrification laps northward from adjacent Williamsburg. Led by veteran Brooklyn tour guide Norman Oder, our unique neighborhood experience will include: • An overview of Greenpoint, from its Polish roots and rich industrial history to the surging new real estate developments reframing its neighborhood identity

• A walk past local gems including an exquisite historic district, old manufacturing plants converted into art studios or offices, some grand churches, and a charming park that memorializes the Civil War ship Monitor

• A visit to a waterfront park with sweeping views of midtown Manhattan

• A stop inside an unassuming chain drug store to see one of Greenpoint's most breathtaking architectural treasures At the end of the tour, Norman will point you to other places worth visiting, including places for dessert, beer/drinks, and, of course, Polish food.
