Join us for a 13-mile Wet and Wild Whitewater Rafting trip that runs through the breathtaking scenery of the Lehigh Gorge State Park. We will experience the thrill of Class II and III whitewater! With 18 action packed rapids such as Snaggletooth and Cookie Monster, this ultimate whitewater trip is truly a memorable experience. We will be whitewater rafting on a scheduled "whitewater dam release!" This means the whitewater will be roaring rapidly, so hang on tight, and let's go for an exciting adventure you won't want to miss! Below are the 2018 scheduled whitewater dam release dates: May- 12, 19, 26, 27

June- 9, 10, 23, 24

July- 7, 8, 21, 22, 28, 29

August- 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26

September- 1, 2

October- 6, 7

(These dates are subject to cancellation by the Army Corps of Engineers due to insufficient water levels.) Whitewater Rafting Adventures uses two separate launch sites on the whitewater section of the Lehigh River depending on the river conditions. The upper section (Upper Lehigh Gorge) is 11 miles long and puts us in at Whitehaven and runs to Rockport. This section is typically only used on Dam Release Dates. The rapids are a mix of Class II and III whitewater! A few of the Class III rapid names are Triple Drop, Initiation and Staircase. The lower section (Lower Lehigh Gorge) is an all-time favorite. This one launches at Rockport and we raft a 13-mile stretch of the Lehigh River to Glen Onoko in Jim Thorpe. The trip takes about 5 hours on average as we paddle our way through a challenging mix of Class II and III rapids, including favorites like Bridal Veil, Mile long and Pipeline. No experience is necessary and children as young as 8 years old can paddle this section of the river. We will be accompanied by a professional guide who will escort our raft from his kayak. The scenery is spectacular and you might catch a glimpse of a bald eagle soaring overhead or other wildlife grazing along the river banks. Trip Specs
