American Made Solar Prize Competition - NY Made Solar Innovation
mer. 3 octobre à 00:30
The American-Made Solar Prize is a $3 million prize competition designed to accelerate and sustain American solar innovation through a series of contests and the development of a diverse and powerful support network that leverages national laboratories, energy incubators, and other resources. https://americanmadechallenges.org/solarprize.html This is perhaps the easiest and fastest way for deploying capital that the DOE has developed. You can literally submit a one paragraph idea or problem statement and win $1,000. With a 90 second video and answering four questions, you can win $20,000 - $40,000. If you actually build a prototype and win the demo days you can get over $700,000 in cash and $150,000 in vouchers for work at national labs and maker spaces. This meetup will be split into two parts: The first will be learning about the prize, what ideas are eligible how to submit those ideas, and forming teams. We're a network connector for the competition so we'll be giving feedback, connecting teams with investors, advisors, manufacturers and other entities to make you successful. The 2nd part of the meetup will be about showcasing NY based solar startups and the technologies that they're developing. Here's a short introduction from Garrett Nilsen, of the Department of Energy from our State of Solar Software meetup this Wednesday. https://youtu.be/JcYJa8ynSyI?t=1h11m
