James Supercave (Psych Pop) at Knitting Factory
ven. 7 septembre à 02:00
Californian band James Supercave combine psych-rock aesthetics with a pop sensibility to create an artsy hybrid sound much like Alt-J, MGMT and Tame Impala. Formed in Echo Park (my old stomping grounds), Joaquin Pastor (vocals, guitar), Patrick Logothetti (keyboards) and Andres Villalobos (guitar) blend a range of influences (Bowie, Radiohead, Beatles) with rhythmic, trippy and soulful sounds. It’s been 2 years since the enigmatic “Better Strange” album came out, one of my favorites of 2016. And now they’re back exploring newfound territory with their new single “Something To Lose”…I can’t wait for a new EP later this year! Listen and watch here:
