Hi Everyone, Join me and friends in Kagurazaka for an afternoon of chitchat, over some choice teas selected from only the most trusted vendors. I usually bring an assortment of lovely teas from around the world. This Week's Featured Drink Japanese Green Tea v.s British Tea! During Golden Week in 2017 I did something mad...... I cycled from Nippori to Utsunomiya on a mamachari, which took me 11 hours, going through some very old and quaint villages. I made a pit stop at one such village and walked into a nondescript tea shop. I can never say no to some tea! The owner was none too happy to have a gaijin take an interest in his teas, so he poured me a cup. A quite wonderful cup of Japanese green tea. So I bought a few packs of different teas off him and told him about my journey. He said I was out of my mind. I've not yet opened some of the packs but I want to open it at the British Tea Party and compare Japanese to British tea. How do the two compare? Here's the blog post I wrote at that time: http://eikaiwa-sensei-tokyo.blog.jp/archives/1065732960.html ALSO: I want to tell you that you can also enjoy a really, really quality cup of coffee courtesy of my friend, REN, who will be joining my tea party as a special guest. So who is REN? REN is a 21-year old from Niigata who has perfected the art of brewing third-wave coffee using an aeropress. A real 職人技. I wrote a blog about him and how we met here: http://businessenglishtokyo.com/youngppl/ You can enjoy his coffee and give him a small tip! *** 【Men】: Fee is 1,000 yen. 【Ladies】: Fee is 1,000 yen. 【Drinks & Refreshments】: No limit.
