Hey All. You can expect a challenging and fun bootcamp that will take place in and through Fort Greene Park. Please bring water, exercise gear, and maybe a towel because you may get a little dirty! SPARTAN BOOTCAMP BY SGX COACH STEVE POKK Mission: To help those who seek alternative ways of training for Obstacle Course Races such as Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, Terrain Race, and all others. Also, to help those who want to become better overall humans whether it be the couch to 5k athlete, weekend warrior, or avid adrenaline junky/workout maniac. What to Expect: These hour long boot camps will include functional movements, strength movements, conditioning work, and all the tools that you will need to conquer an obstacle course or just conquer life itself. You will be tested in more ways than one including, mental toughness drills, physical fitness tests, body weight, circumference measurement, body fat%, and goal and race assessments will all be performed throughout the cycle and re-tested again. Elements used: Rope climbs, bucket carries, pullups, pushups, tire flips, sledgehammer slams, weighted carries, monkey bars and hanging elements, deadlifts, squats, running, jumping, climbing, and just about anything else a race or life can throw at you! About Coach Steve: Steve is an avid Obstacle Course Racer. He started in 2014 and the rest is History. He is currently an Elite Racer and has competed in over 50 Obstacle Events including: Spartan Sprint, Spartan Super, Spartan Beast, Spartan Ultra, Spartan 12 Hour Hurricane Heat, Tough Mudder, Bonefrog, Terrain Race, Savage Race, Civilian Military Combine, Ragnar, and many many more. He is nuts. He is also one of the Co-Owners of Crossfit Kingsboro where he grew his love for Crossfit and his insanity for intense and amazing workouts. He hopes to pass on his love for fitness and racing through this class where he will share all his knowledge and training to help you prepare for any race or anything in life in general.
