This workshop focuses on compassionate family communication and parenting skills for everyday life. Bringing up children in a family that identifies with different cultures, nationalities and countries is both enriching and challenging. Sometimes being an international family just adds something extra to spice up life. Most of the time we get along pretty well and can deal with all kinds of situations to our satisfaction. And then a trigger pops up and we wish we had a manual to help us navigate that tricky situation. In this one day workshop we will celebrate what works in your family settings and explore what can be improved gently and with care. The examples you bring, as well as your role plays and exercises, will allow us to practice, practice, practice communication principles based on Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC) also called the language of the heart. Imagine learning a new language and starting out speaking in simple sentences. Time, patience, endurance, gentleness and practice are great allies to become fluent and skillful in fostering the healthy and satisfying family relationships you want. Workshop date and time: Saturday 23 June 2018, 10:00 - 18:00 Financial investment: Sliding scale from approx. 60 to 100 CHF per person Trainers: Sylvie Hörning, cert. trainer in Nonviolent Communication with CNVC; Sandy Perrin, cert. trainer candidate in Nonviolent Communication with CNVC; organized by NVC Geneva Registration: Please register via Eventbrite - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nvc-parenting-workshop-tickets-45853755818
