Free 3 Day Stress Relief Meditation Retreat in NYC!

Feel like you’ve been away on retreat while never leaving NYC! This 3-session class meets on Sundays (6/3, 6/10. 6/24) for those who find it difficult to get away during the week. In this class, you will learn meditation techniques to manage stress on a daily basis. By practicing the easy-to-follow guided meditations, you can increase your energy and gain a new, more compassionate perspective on yourself and your life’s challenges. This class immerses you in meditation so that you can relax and release physical, mental and emotional burdens that keep you from enjoying your life. You will practice both standing and seated meditation. Talks on healthy living reinforce the benefits of relaxing your mind and body. Each day ends with an energy enhancement session in which you are welcome to lay down in order to achieve the most relaxation. Taking the time to deeply relax is not a luxury. It improves health, mood and the ability to get things done. Developing a meditation practice is a good investment in self-care. This class will prepare you to create a home practice. As part of the $26 materials fee, you will receive one of the meditations practiced during the class, so that you can continue your practice at home. A free, vegetarian lunch will be provided all days. Please dress comfortably. You may want to bring a light blanket for the energy enhancement sessions at the end of each day during which you are welcome to lay down.
