Full class schedule and descriptions are given on the website. Chair yoga classes help those who are healing from an injury, have physical limitations, are candidates for orthopedic surgery, have had orthopedic surgery, cannot practice yoga from the floor, or choose not to practice yoga from the floor. In these classes students will practice yoga postures seated, or standing at the back of the chair for stability. Yoga postures are also practiced utilizing the wall as a prop. These sessions help to build mobility, flexibility, strength, and better alignment of the body. Over time the body becomes healthier. Breathing techniques are taught to build greater lung capacity, and reduce anxiety, or tension, and create calm. Beginners are always welcome!
