NeuroTechNYC Hack Night - Using Neural Nets to make & classify EEG
Chaque semaine le jeudi
NeuroTechNYC is the NYC chapter of NeuroTechX ( http://neurotechx.com/ ), an international organization of designers, engineers, neuroscientists, hackers, and more. Join us on Fridays where we'll be working on a new community project with the goal of using neural nets to produce and classify EEG for concrete , non-abstract thoughts such as motor imagery or imagined tastes and the like. All are welcome! Follow our weekly meeting minutes, checkout our mission and view our agenda here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-z37krFA0mPMdFOA0rhtfSlcymeucYQfwlXuKRj9ttg/edit?usp=sharing The minimum viable product we are making will - Be hosted on @NeruoTechX Github
Generate and classify concrete thoughts (avoid abstract)
Contain a trained neural net that classifies & generates EEG
Show classification performance compared to other state of the art classifiers
Show generation performance by testing with trained state-of-the-art classifiers to predict probability We have limited knowledge in neural nets specifically, so a background in neural nets but no experience with brainwaves is totally useful here! We use Riemannian geometry all the time which is a great tool we can show too, but the focus in this meetup is on our goal, of using neural nets to produce EEG! If we make progress, maybe our have friends at Nvidia will send us hardware. This is not intended to be a social “I’m new to EEG I want to see my brainwaves” type event, we are focused on the goal of using neural nets to produce EEG. This is not an OpenBCI workshop! We may eventually use OpenBCI, but are by no means set on it! Bring your brain, computer, and the desire to create and collaborate!
