Seine Saint Denis and the 'green belt' aboard Paris's newest tram line
dim. 6 mai à 15:00
You will be forgiven for not knowing that last summer, Paris's newest train line opened - the T11 Express. A light rail route that connects the RER C in the west with the RER B in the east across the department of Seine Saint Denis using the tracks of the 'Grand Ceinture' the outer circle line of Paris that is mostly used for freight. The northern suburbs, barely 15 minutes from Chatlet are more than a bad reputation for social housing. From wartime history and the deportation of France's Jews, to the defence of the siege of Paris, protected wetlands, beautiful parkland, industrial history and green paths along the Seine. Spend an afternoon exploring, learning and riding the newest trains your Navigo gives you access to as we hop on and off to visit along the route. Bring water and snacks for the park... Where: Start at Le Bourget (RER B), finish Epinay-sur-Seine (RER C) When: Sunday 19th November, 14:30 Cost: 10 Euro (note: you will need a Navigo pass or else to purchase tickets for Zone 2/3)
