Led by Danya Glabau, PhD, Implosion Labs ( https://implosionlabs.com/ ) How can designers and developers be sure that their products are delivering the experiences that users REALLY want? This workshop will introduce the principles of user research and allow participants to try them out on their own. Using these tools, studios, product development teams, and independent creators will be better equipped to ask about, analyze, and act on the needs and preferences of their target audiences to ensure long-term success. Instructor: Danya Glabau, PhD Danya Glabau is an anthropologist who has researched how people use medical and consumer technologies in academia and industry for nearly ten years. She teaches, writes, and speaks extensively about the pasts, presents, and futures of technology and how technology can help people build a better world. She is the founder of Implosion Labs, an ethnography-driven research and consulting group, an Instructor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and Faculty at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research.
