Practicing yoga during your pregnancy has a huge range of benefits both physically and emotionally. Prenatal yoga can help you to cope with the demands of pregnancy and accept the changes occurring to your body with strength and grace. Prenatal yoga can also help you to prepare for an active birth and avoid many of the common pregnancy complaints such as back pain, pelvic pain, heartburn and cramping.
Our prenatal yoga workshop will be a mix of theory with education around prenatal yoga, modifications for pregnancy and a practical component which will include an energising prenatal flow followed by a series of restorative poses for deep rest and relaxation.
After this workshop you will be able to:
Modify your yoga practice to suit each stage of pregnancy
Breathing techniques for stress relief and also for labour
Better understand the role of the pelvic floor in pregnancy and labour
Have a tool kit of yoga poses for an active birth
Have a simple prenatal yoga flow that you can practice at home
