Yoga & Treking in Ladakh & McLeod Ganj -India 12th-30th Sept
mer. 12/09/2018 de 16h00 à 19h00
On this specially devised itinerary with Yoga & Meditation Teacher Jan Green we combine time exploring ancient Buddhist monasteries and cultural heritage of Little Tibet with the opportunity to undertake yoga classes in a variety of serene locations. The trip highlights include time in Leh, the thriving capital of Ladakh, visiting nearby monasteries, as well as an excursion to the high altitude Pangong Tso (Lake).
In Ladakh, you never know what surprise nature has in store for you. Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Its waters, which seem to be dyed in blue, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China. Imagine our morning yoga practice!!!!!
We then fly to Chandigarh staying overnight, then make our way to hilltop Indian Himalayan town of McLeod Ganj, home of the Tibetan Dalai Lama in exile. We spend 5 days here
3km north of Dharamsala - McLeod Ganj is the residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and home to a large Tibetan population, including many monks and nuns. The Tibetan government-in-exile is based just downhill at Gangchen Kyishong. McLeod attracts thousands of international visitors each year to volunteer with the Tibetan community, take courses in Buddhism, meditation or yoga, trek in the Dhauladhar mountains, shop for Tibetan crafts, or just hang out and enjoy the low-budget spiritual/alternative vibe and the many good cafes and restaurants.
On the trip, under the expert guidance of Yoga Teacher Jan Green, you will enjoy daily yoga & Meditation practices beneath the awesome backdrop of the rugged Trans Himalaya
