The first of a series of creative Yoga & Ayurveda sessions from Emily Reed.
Experience a Friday evening of explorative movement and yoga asana to soul filling sounds, mantra and poetry. Embody and balance the qualities of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air and space/ethers).
Equanimous living is a result of balance in the five elements according to Ayurvedic philosophy. The five elements are present in our physical body, emotions, mental state – in every aspect of our existence.
In each of these sessions Emily will tune you in to the element of focus through the practices - including yoga asana, free movement, breath work, sound, self inquiry and journaling.
EARTH is where we begin the journey. Earth offer qualities of: solidarity, support, foundation etc. When earth is balanced in the mind there is a sense of security, stability, structure.
Observe the present state of the earth element in the body, mind and emotions. The session is designed to cultivate a harmonious and equanimous earth element.
Join Emily for an intriguing, experiential evening of Ayurveda (the science of living) and arrive at the weekend with serenity.
