Simply put, mindfulness is the awareness and non judgmental acceptance of ‘What Simply Is”.
In this 6 week course you will learn through guided mindfulness meditations, group discussion, and gentle yoga practices what mindfulness is, and how to use the practices as tools to improve the quality of your life.
The benefits of mindfulness and yoga are many! Scientists are now noting and documenting various advantages including improvements in physical and mental health and overall well being.
The practice of mindfulness and gentle movement helps keep blood pressure in control, reduce pain, and release stress. It improves the quality of sleep and improves mental health by helping to keep negative emotions like anxiety, stress and depression away. Plus it boosts positivity, enthusiasm and overall state of the mind, and leads us to having more gratitude and spontaneity in life.
Regular practice of mindfulness helps us to gain insight into our own feelings and thoughts, leading to greater clarity in decision making, as well as higher productivity and improved creativity.
