The Van Allen Belt is steeped in a lyrical nostalgia for 1960's girl-group-pop a la Burt Bacharach and Phil Spector. Performing with such luminaries as Stereolab, Atlas Sound, Dan Deacon, and showcasing at festivals such as SXSW, NXNE, CBGB, CMJ, MPMF & VIA, the band tours extensively throughout the continental United States.

Uniting all elements is the powerful and evocative presence of Tamar Kamin, sampling and looping her voice in real-time, building lush harmonies along with the melodies.
