Building a security function can be a daunting task, and it’s even more challenging to get right in a startup. Where should you start? What should you prioritize? How can you have a security strategy and a roadmap that scales as the company grows? This talk will touch on these key questions based on the speaker's own experience, as well as alert participants to common pitfalls.
About the speaker:
Amine Kamel is the Head of Security at Pinterest, where he is responsible for overseeing all security projects and strategy for the company. He was instrumental in building Pinterest’s security engineering team and led major initiatives spread across different pillars from infrastructure and product security to incident response and forensics. Prior to joining Pinterest, he was a digital rights management pioneer; he also helped to build the Apple iTunes store. Amine is the author of multiple computer security patents, and regularly speaks at security conferences.
