Sin É Presents to you for Friday of The Dublin Quays Festival
Friday 18th Aug
Leila Jane & The Healers
Leila Jane has been performing in the UK and Ireland for the last 5 years. After a performance at the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2013, her voice was described as ‘’somewhere between Janis Joplin and Sandy Denny’’. Her passion for singing was very much inspired by her deep love for the Delta Blues, early Rock n’ Roll and all sorts of American Folk music.
Formed in autumn of 2015 in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, the members of Hatchlings quickly turned friendship into a prolific creative collaboration. Hatchlings draw from their jazz, folk, R'n'B, rock and classical influences to create a fresh alternative sound, embodying what Shannon Welby of Dublin Concerts describes as "joyful alternative” where "musical adeptness is in abundance; a mixture of entrancing lyrics, riffs and cries – all spinning together blissfully and fiercely”.
